About

Osman Sayginer is an interdisciplinary research scientist. He received his B.S. in Mechanical Engineering and M.S. in Mechatronics Engineering. He earned his Ph.D. cum laude from the University of Trento, Italy, Italy, where he conducted doctoral research in collaboration with the  National Research Council of Italy (CNR), Trento – Institute for Photonics and Nanotechnologies (IFN) & FBK Photonics Unit.

He worked as a postdoctoral researcher at the Chair of Biological ImagingTechnical University of Munich, Germany, and at the Institute of Biological and Medical ImagingHelmholtz Zentrum München.

Currently, he is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Mechanical Engineering at Temple University.

His research interests include optical and acoustic systems, sensors, prototyping, physics-informed machine learning, CAD, FEA, modeling & simulation, opto-mechanical system design, thin films, hardware control, automation, and data acquisition.
